Last Train To Clarksville ( El Último Tren a Clarksville)

The Monkees es una banda creada en 1966, originarios de Los Angeles en USA y fue creado para una serie televisiva que alcanzo mucho exito en esos años.

Yo recuerdo que en España la emitian los sabados por la tarde, y a parte de las canciones con mucho ritmo, las historias siempre eran desenfadas, con humor y con enredos amorosos de adolescentes, por lo que entre los quinceañeras de la época tuvo mucho exito.

Ese tipo de historias y situaciones eran una copia del estilo de The Beatles en la pelicula A Hard Days Night ( Quen Noche la de Aquel Dia ), y sin duda el grupo tambien quiso ser la version americana de Los Beatles, que evidentemente no llegaron a serlo a ese nivel, pero si que consiguieron algunos temas de una cierta calidad y que aun perviven en el recuerdo.
